Startup Weekend Dublin wrap-up
Startup weekend Dublin, an event was sponsored by IOTA LS, came to a successful end last night. The winner of the weekend was Exsibit.com but as it was pointed out by the jury, all the projects that made it through the weekend have the potential to become successful products. Here is a list (source):
Exsibit.com: a platform for galleries to publish exhibitions, art lovers to find specific paintings, learn what exhibitions are taking place around them and experience the exhibition online. MyWebText: a solution for the integration of facebook messaging and webtext SalesMate: a solution for the road warrior salesman which is an iPad brochure that integrates with a purchasing system Gift It: a system which can enable a gifter to give multiple options in a tasteful way to a giftee, reducing the likelihood that the giftee would receive an unwanted gift Netocracy: a system to enable citizens to measure the performance of their government Eater.ie: a restaurant focused service which can enable restaurants to offer attractive deals to loyal customers HabitClick: a simple mobile app which enables a person to track their bad habits (smoking, drinking, carousing with women, etc) so they can improve their behavior.
Everyone at IOTA Localisation Services is delighted to have been part of this weekend. We hope that all the teams will keep working on their projects, including making them available to a larger audience than just the Irish market.
